The problem

A dated template site — plain white pages, generic stock icons, a lot of empty space, and a structure that didn't reflect the firm's brand or make it easy for founders to understand what BFG does and how to reach them.

What I built

Led the redesign end to end — new site structure and copy including three new sections, a custom design system built around BFG's green, custom-built pages with no template, then the technical launch: migrated the domain, moved hosting to Cloudflare Workers, resolved DNS and nameserver issues, and deployed post-launch content fixes.

Every page rebuilt from the ground up — old site on the left, new site on the right.

About / Home page

Replaced the sparse template layout with a custom brand-forward design — added an investment thesis section, founder testimonials, and clearer navigation structure.

Portfolio page

Rebuilt the portfolio grid to better showcase investments with clearer categorization, brand logos, and visual hierarchy.

Team page

Redesigned team bios with photography, fuller backgrounds, and a warmer layout that makes the firm feel approachable.

New to the site

Three sections that didn't exist on the old site — added to give founders more reason to trust the firm before they reach out.

BFG In the Press section — Added a press section to surface media coverage of the firm and its portfolio brands.

BFG Founder Testimonials section — Added founder testimonials so prospective portfolio companies hear directly from the founders BFG has backed.

BFG Investment Thesis section — Added a thesis section that lays out how BFG thinks about investing, so founders can self-qualify before reaching out.
